Statement¡
I am inspired by the opportunity to heal. Sometimes, contemplation leads me to recognize the essence of what captivates me. I reflect, I am moved, and I move forward. Other times, an unexpected encounter guides me. Curiosity and admiration. I desire to face what inspires me head-on. I hold my breath. I need that silence to know I am in the presence of something that completely takes hold of me. The medium is photography, drawing, writing, video, or objects. Music emerges. I set out to find “the noise that roars” within me. The deafening and the subtle. To approach its strength without fear. Then, I try to discover the power of everything that calms it. That which does me good. Germinare, Madre Zoe, my series of photos and drawings—they are my allies.
